- Explore Crow Creek Gold Mine. Nestled high in the Girdwood valley, this historic treasure provides a glimpse back in time to Alaska's pioneering gold mining days. Tour the many buildings, dating back to 1898 and even try your hand at gold panning! (small additional fees apply to individuals wanting to pan for gold).
